It took me a while to get into this book but in the end I really enjoyed it. There were many new facets to the story and outright differences from the Disney movie (all of the books in the Twisted Tales series are retellings of the Disney movies) as well as filling in obvious gaps/plot holes. I really enjoyed the subtle nods to the movie as well as the empowering of Belle. She was a strong character in the movie but in this book she has even more agency and thereby is even more awesome.This story gets really dark and upsetting at the end. It's not quite Stephen King but you may want to be mindful. I suppose it's not much of a spoiler to say that the asylum only hinted at in the movie is more prominent and it is exactly what real asylums were like in the past. If descriptions of what was done to patients would disturb you or your child, then you may want to skip parts at the end.Speaking of the ending, it was lovely. A different sort of happily ever after but one I wholeheartedly support. I kind of wish this was the story for the new live action remake.

What a disappointment this book was. I'm the biggest fan of the original Disney film, and although this book did have its upsides, it still sucked big time, right up to the incomplete, unsatisfying (non-) ending. The premise of the book was very interesting, but it was so badly handled that it made me regret the time I wasted reading it.My favorite part of "Beauty and the Beast" was, of course, the relationship between Belle and the Beast. Here, their relationship is downplayed in favor of the social/moral issues related to the persecution of "Les Charmantes" and a whole long backstory about Maurice and Belle's mother that I frankly didn't care that much about. If I wanted to read about the evils of discrimination and persecution of innocents, I would read a historical or contemporary novel, not a book based on a Disney fairy tale.Some parts of the story didn’t even make sense. For example, the magical rose turned into dust when Belle touched it, messing up with the curse. Why??? There was nothing in the spell the enchantress put on the prince (in either this book or the original movie) that said that the magic rose couldn't be touched by anybody, much less that it would turn to dust or complete the curse. The only statement was that the spell had to be broken before the last petal fell, which a completely different thing. In fact, the rose was from the enchantress’ own garden, so chances are Belle had touched it before, same as the rest of the flowers in her house.Another issue I had was Belle finding out about the Beast’s curse from the beginning, completely changing the moral of the original story, which was that she could love him without knowing he actually was a prince in disguise.I also found a little strange that the villain of the story didn’t even think of using the “les charmantes” magic for himself, which seems out of character for somebody as evil as him. It would have given the villian an even stronger motivation for his "experiments". Speaking of the villain, I easily found out who he was almost from the beginning of the story, so the "great revelation" of his real identity fell completely flat.2 good things about this book: It was only 99 cents, and it made me want to re-watch the original Beauty and the Beast a dozen times more to forget this version exists.

When reading this particulate take on the 1991 Disney classic, I found it to be a quite enjoyable read. I love how we get to see who belle's mother is; both as the enchantress that cursed the beast and who she was when Maurice first met her. What was going on with the beast really set that he has a heart and it really made in more sympathetic as the story when on. Belle was level headed and proactive as she should be. Even thought they don't get much time devoted to them, I still like the enchanted objects but really wish they had more of a role in this story. Really, I'm just nitpicking. Love the portrayal of Maurice's past and the current change to the status quo. Loved how in character everyone is, especially that one deeper look into a certain character later on. Overall, a pretty good read.

This is honestly one of my favorite retellings of the Beauty and the Beast mythos. It has a wonderfully detailed backstory, character development, and feels natural when it takes its ‘twist’.Beloved characters are seen in new situations to give them more depth. As the plot grows, each page you turn will be exiting and filled with wonderment.Highway recommend this book and this author and her series!

Anyone that loves the original story will still love this book. its exciting, fresh and some parts mix and mash into the story we all know by heart. I now cant imagine Belles mom being anyone else!

I collect any and every retelling of Beauty and the Beast that I can get my hands on. This version was beautiful and nostalgic describing detailed scenes straight out of the Disney animated film. And the twist with Belles mother as the enchantress still kept an element of surprise and intrigue. I loved that Belle’s internal diologue referenced the many books she read, and used those to influence her decisions and thought processes. This felt so true to character. I definitely want to read the other books in the twisted tale collection

It was a fun read and I enjoyed the twist on the fairy tale. The writer also added good depth to the beast and Belle's characters, and raised some of the stakes. Its clear this author spent a lot of time pulling apart the original story, and even more time piecing it back together in a way that is refreshing yet true to the original story. (To be honest, I wish the recent movie had pulled more ideas from here when trying to fill in plot holes and character development. So if the movie left you wanting more, or something different, then this might be a good book for you :)

Great book! It was a little hard for me to start but loved that it followed the Disney version a bit and then it twisted. But I loved the twist it kept my interest and the last few chapters I couldn't put it down. I love the change in fairy tale stories. Don't we all think what if this happened or that?

It's a simple book that goes over a complex subject. I love the amount of detail that is covered and how it is explained. It really helped me out for college. What a disappointment. First, the book has very large type and spacing, so it is really far shorter than the page length advertised (85). The content is obviously gleaned from the Internet. There is nothing that you or I could not find in a short search. There was nothing directly from Cuban. The writing is very disorganized, jumping back and forth in the timeline of Cuban's life, making it difficult to follow. There is simply no coherent flow to the book. Even if there was a coherent flow, it would be overpowered by the glaring grammar and spelling errors. There were so many that I soon lost count. But on every page - I mean, c'mon, really? The book is obviously self-published by a vanity press. EntrepreneurshipFacts.com, the publisher, was created by author David Dagen and presumably, he is the sole operator in the venture. NOT RECOMMENDED - oh, and I returned the book for a refund. Sadly, I am out my time and energy that I spent on this so-called "biography."

I first came to this book to use for a speech I had to make about Mark Cuban. I thought that purchasing this book would give me much more insight into his life than what you could find on Wikipedia or Biography.com. That simply was not the case. I got duplicated information that I could easily find on the internet without having to pay $15 for. If just the information was the issue I would've given it a 2 star, but there was a lot of spelling and grammar mistakes. If I am spending $15 on a book, then this lack of professionalism is simply unacceptable. I don't recommend this book to anyone looking for deep insight on Mark Cuban.

This book has general stuff of Mark Cuban. I think all the story of Mar Cuban on this book I could find it on google. Does not worth to buy it.

A disappointment. It read like a cover promo for what should be a more in-depth discussion. Not to take away from other books that have been written, but could have capitalized on one or more stories, actual examples from situation he encountered. Perhaps a real interview rather than just quotes on the back end. Yes, a brief history of his exploits but little depth.

It read like a long wiki page with misspellings. I was expecting to learn much more than what is almost common knowledge about him. Probably my fault since I didn't research more about the book.

This "book" must have been written in another language and then translated. Poorly. And it must have been written in that other language by an 8th grader. Horrible, a waste of money.

Not worth it for the price! Such thin book with huge texts. Better off getting it as a free E-book.

I loved this book , she showed how this scared girl who had no compassion shown to her from her parents or village kept a pure heart and strong spirit.she is given away and then told she must mate with 5 men ,she soon learns that each man is different they all have strong opinions but good heart's and teach her about true family.

While I enjoyed the story and its look into polyamory, there were so many typographical errors I had to re-read some sentences to make sense of them.

I love when authors come up with a new spin on a classic! Werewolves meet human woman and they have a HEA.

Martha is watching the end of life party for her. She;s the first born daughter born in a decade. As per the law, the first born daughter is offered to the werewolves on their planet. In return the werewolves paid a handsome sum to the village and this time around it is her village;s turn. Her friend who is engaged to her sister brings her a bag and suggests she leave to go to the city to survive. But after contemplating her choices she realizes that she can;t escape because then the village would turn over her sister. And she can't let that happen. The next day finds her a captive of the werewolves, Wulfrun , Guthram and Kirela. They explain to her that they;re heading for the city where she will be given the choice of werewolves to mate with. There she finds something totally different from what she was told could possibly happen. There she must choose five men as future mates. She meets Thyrius, Merric, Ronther and Tormod. Then she learns she;s to go to university. I'm not sure who's giving "Cryptocurrency: 5 Expert Secrets for Beginners" good ratings, but as an actual purchaser and reader, I can assure you it's terrible. I read "Mastering Bitcoin, 2nd Edition" first, to understand Bitcoin in depth from a technical perspective, and bought this to learn a bit about investing. But having the technical background and reading Tu's descriptions, I can't be sure whether he's too impatient to find accurate analogies, or whether he just doesn't understand Bitcoin and the blockchain. It's like someone explained a mountain bike to him and he extrapolated that idea and is presuming to describe a Tesla. Some of his explanations are excusable "hand waving", as they say in mathematics courses, but some of the explanations are simply wrong. Also, the writing is sloppy with many grammatical and mechanical errors per page, and the prose style is very loose and vernacular, like his assumed audience is Millennials reading in a bar. I don't recommend buying this book, and I don't feel I can trust any of the investment information herein since the technical information is invalid.

This book is helpful if you are a beginner who has little to no knowledge of cryptocurrency and has not yet begun to participate in trading. There are sound basic finacial principles at work in the writing. The author does not push any one currency or exchange, but makes suggestions based on those sound principles and his own experience. In fact, he seems a little reluctant to offer direction until closer to the end. He seems to care that his readers don't lose their shirts. He does not appear to be hawking his own product or service.While I already had a concept of cryptocurrency and blockchain, this book reinforced what I knew. Reading it was like finally managing to fit puzzle pieces together. The book also opened a few new vistas, for which I am grateful.I would have loved to have given this book 5 stars if only it had been better edited. Terms are introduced without being defined. Ideas are occasionally explained awkwardly. Draft writing made it to the final product. Lots of redundancy for such a short book. Wasn't a deal-breaker, just not an all-star.

This book was well-written and provided a broad yet detailed picture of the history, present and possible future of the cryptocurrency and its underlying blockchain. It's a bit long-winded in places, and somewhat rambling, jumping around to different points in time, but on the whole it's well worth the read and the authors of this book are reporters, and as a piece of reportage it is broad, deep, and well-balanced and they take you through the history of bitcoin, the alternatives to bitcoin, all the technology behind bitcoin, and extended uses for this disruptive technology which could have wide implications throughout society and really loved this boo and i'm familiar with blockchain technology but I learned a lot about the world of (non-crypto) currencies as well as the economic environment in which crypto currencies live and i also like the fluid writing style of the authors and if you need to know more about crypto currencies and how they relate to the world economic system and his book is for you and the book starts out with the basics and then drives home good information without being overly biased. Great work and must read.

This book teaches the novice investors a more in depth analysis of cryptocurrency. A good guide for those who wish to invest in cryptocurrency.

This is a handy little guide. It gives you an overview of the process and resources that make up bitcoin and other crypto-currencies. So if you are interested in using Bitcoin or something similar, this would be a good book to pick up. The author starts out by explaining what crypto-currency is and giving a brief history on its origin, founder and its overall gain in popularity. I appreciate that this is a beginner friendly guide, but is also a good reference guide for any new concepts. Well done.

Luckily this text only cost $1 at the time of purchase, or else I'd be mad (and deducted another star). This text is predominantly fluff and full of information that you can find easily elsewhere. Hell, Wikipedia has more information on cryptocurrency than this text does! Contains very little information on investment that is useful at all; which is particularly problematic, because that was supposed to be the entire point of the book.

The book does give you a basic understanding of cryptocurrency but I've been left with more questions than answers. It is not well-written, as if the author's first language is not English. It introduces terms and topics without explaining them adequately. As a result it is hard to understand. It is also very, very repetitive. For such little depth of information, the book could have been one-third as long. Was it worth $1? Yes. But save yourself sometime and shell out a little more cash for a better book.

Despite the fact that there are already a lot of reviews on this book, I really wanted to leave my own. The book is very accessible, easy to read. A lot of interesting information was learned about the crypto currency, and what are the risks of investing in cryptothermics. There are excellent tips to earn through trade crypt currencies, while doing nothing special. Recommended!
