I had to purchase this book for my senior level anthropology class at a major university. Although there is a lot of great information contained in the text, I didn't feel the subjects were very well organized. The book would jump from one subject to another completely different subject all within the same paragraph. This style slows down the reading comprehension in order to make sense of the content. Luckily for the low price, I cannot complain since many of my other books cost much more than this one. Overall, for the price it was acceptable, but I won't be using it for leisure reading anytime soon.
Needed for class. Great condition.
Just what I needed
This book is required for a class of mine, but it is very clear and quite interesting. Reading goes by quickly because of the word choice used, and there are many boxes that feature relevant examples in each chapter.
Cover had a huge rip and needed to be taped. Binding is broken and pages have fallen out.
What can I say.....it is a textbook.
