Another great book. Much more in depth than others like it. Also, author could come across as offensive with his passionate beliefs so would recommend using it only as a reference as opposed to a witness for others.
Excellent book, exposing the lies of the Catholic church.
I bought this book so a friend of mine would leave the catholic church. I gave it to him, so I am waiting to see what is happening.
This book made me reconsider what I, as a life long Catholic, always believed. Whether you agree or disagree with the author, it is worth looking into.
INTERESTING COMPARISON BETWEEN CATHOLISISM AND CHRISTIAN FAITHS TOL FROM THE PROSPECTIVE OF A FORMER CATHOLIC WHO SCORES CERTAIN POINTS BASEED ON BIBLICAL VERSEBUT.AS THE AUTHOR STATES CATHOLICISM IS ONLY PARTLY BASED ON THE BIBLE.
I am grateful for the stark comparisons being made between Catholic practice, some known and some unknown by professing Catholics, and Biblical propositions that are completely ignored or devalued, but definitely not practiced by many.
Absolutely awesome book for any Catholic struggling to make sense of his/her faith which is essentially impossible since Catholicism is based upon a mish-mash of ancient superstition, OT Judaism, myth and fables in the form of man made "tradition," and a make it up as we go along theology like Mormonism. McCarthy explains all of this in detail as he uses the Catechism of the Catholic Church against the purveyors of lies, myths, and superstitions - a form of godliness without any power. After careful reading and study of this valuable book you will not look at the RCC like you once did as the veil of the cult will have fallen away. Praise God!
