Such dry reading. The chapters are very long and the subheadings are kind of randomly related to the subject discussed, so it's a pain to link meaning to the headings, especially the Motivation part. Many of the terms in there are undefined--I got a "?" note from the teacher when using those terms which I thought everyone else knew but me on two occasions. Words like "regulation" which occur in different contexts, and different ways of saying "Socioemotional learning" which should have ONE name and ONE meaning. There is one very silly mistake--it's GROVER (not Murray) that does the near and far skit on Sesame Street. Get a gen-xer proofreader next time.

Life beyond the classroom is the perfect book for anyone who is hoping to become a special educator. The text gives a lot of information to make sure you successfully help students transition out of school and into the real world! The Price is great as it will save you a lot and it also comes in a timely matter!

Not just farms but mob farms too.

If you like Minecraft, want to learn more tricks and skills with the game, and don't want to watch annoying videos on YouTube, buy this book. Very well written, clear pictures, and easy enough for kids to understand (yet some of the skills are pretty advanced).

My kid is reading something!!

Good way to learn about farming in mine craft and I'm a fan of playing Minecraft. But I wanted to learn anything I can so that I can build a cool world in the game!

The kids love these, added this to their collection.

I attached a photo because I would have liked one before purchasing. You write the same things in a regular notebook for a fraction of the price, but this is handy.I do wish some things were arranged differently (like a snack/dessert after dinner). I also wish the binding was different. It doesn't lay down flat.

I looked long and hard to find something to manually record my food on a daily basis , for the purpose of determining food allergies or intolerances. This is the closest thing I could find to what I wanted. This goes over the top, and has you can record anything and everything that might be related to giving you a reaction. Most journals out there are for the purpose of calorie counting, and include things like tracking exercise, nutrients etc. I didn't care about all that (although you can see that you can record that stuff in this one too). I need to accurately note what I eat, and when, and what reactions I'm having alongside that. I only subtract one star for two things (otherwise it's perfect). One is that it's hard to lay flat to write in. They could have had a friendlier binding. Secondly, there's not a space to write in a snack after dinner. Who never has an evening snack?? That's an oversight. The book is too large for my small purse, yet small enough for my lunchbag or computer bag, for toting around. I think for the size, they crammed as much in there as they could, and I am pleased with it.

This is the only book of its kind that I have found. So helpful for those trying to figure out what is triggering allergies, headaches etc. Each day includes an area for food consumed, other possible triggers (such as from the environment...household cleaners for example). There's an area for extra notes. Not for those concerned with calorie consumption....there are plenty of food journals out there for that. Only other tool I found for this purpose was an app called mySymptoms. Costs $2.99. Not only can you log your food and symptoms, but it does analysis to give you possible triggers. It's a great app and a lot of people swear by it, but ultimately I found it too time consuming for me. Good luck!

My wife is trying to figure out a health issue. It took me months, but I've finally gotten her to start recording food and other data. Medical tests are starting to indicate Chron's, but the diary has already helped her zero in on some trigger foods. Well worth the money.

This journal is everything I was looking for in a food journal. The format is nice, each day is spread between two pages, so there is plenty of room to write. It is customizable to a degree, in that you can put in your own information that you want to track, along with the settings they provide. It is perfect for tracking your diet and habits, and has already allowed me to notice some foods that are triggering allergies, intolerance, etc. it is also great at keeping me accountable. It is book sized, not pocket sized, but that was ok with me because it was much easier to write in and read, and I'll gladly trade the convenience of size for usability. It has enough entries for about 3 months, and that this low price, I wouldn't mind continuing to buy it .

It allows you to record all meals, as well as potential environmental triggers or allergens, symptoms, and times. it even has room in the back for medical history, keeping track of lab dates and test results and your own notes and questions. I really like it and how comprehensive it is. I only wish it was a bit smaller to make it easier to keep in a small purse (it measures about 9inX6in), however I understand that if it was smaller it wouldn't hold as much info as each page does. I needed something to document a lot of info, and this works great for that purpose.

After a year long battle with digestive issues, this book helped me identify my food intolerance and I am so grateful to have found it. I would definitely recommend if you are experiencing issues and need to find the cause.

Comprehensive! Everything I was looking for except the binding made it difficult to write in daily. I took it to Kinko's and they bound it for $6. Now it's perfect for daily use!!!!

Bought this book for a relative who is preparing for the GED. However, upon my initial review of the text I discovered wrong answers for the tests. This totally defeats the purpose of a test preparation guide. Apparently there was no editorial fact-checking by the publisher. For example, a question on page 710 asks which state has the most representatives - based on the 2010 Census. The correct answer is California with 53 representatives. However, the answer provided on page 868 wrongly states it is Florida - with only 27 representatives. These types of errors cast a pale of suspicion on the entire guide. I then searched Google for an errata sheet for the latest corrections but could not find one (apparently no errata sheet was provided by the publisher). Until the publisher provides an errata sheet I would recommend avoiding this book.

Muy buen libro para prepararse, detallado y claro y lo mejor es que esta en español. Llego nuevecito y a muy buen precio. Comparado con el libro de Steck Vaughn, este libro es mucho mas facil de entender y mucho mas economico.

We used this book in a pilot program for adults from different Latin American countries. It’s good and goes over many points on the GED test. I gave it 4 starts, because we needed more practice sheets and some of the Q&A are wrong in the book. Also, some of the text looks as if it came from google translate. Not a current translation. I’m looking forward to the second addition.

excellent Spanish version for the people trying to do the GED test. It covers everything

I teach Spanbish GED at Eastfield College. This is one the best book I had used because it has the concepts and right away a practice to do. I love as well as my students.

This is exactly what I was looking for. The books comes with practice tests and it covers all the GED subjects including a big math section. Subjects are very well explained.

Plenty of great practice questions, all clearly marked by subject and topic so you can administer piecemeal if so desired.

It is a good way to get your GED

I had the great pleasure of taking a writing class with Linda and she is the best presenter. This is probably my favorite book yet. It is SO practical. After reading the first chapter, I had a lesson all ready for the first day of school. Well worth the price!!!

I am using this with my multi-grade level classes. They are responding well to them. I can’t use these exactly as quick writes, my kids need a bit more guided structure, but having a mentor text to support their writing has been good. I have been looking for something like this for a long time. We are just getting started, but so far so go.

I love these! I teach high school English in an alternative school, attendance and behavior is sporadic at best. This book is a lifesaver, the pages come with a poem or excerpt and space to start writing - each page has a sidebar with instructions. Ideally, I use these as a pre write but realistically , my students complete these for participation , then work on a final copy to submit for a grade. Great resource in the classroom.

Linda Reif’s Quickwrites have changed the way my classroom flourishes! My 5th graders have become confident, eager, passionate writers, and I attribute that to these quickwrites. These will change your classroom for the better !!!

This text offers 100 mentor texts, ideas for quick writes and "Try this" options to motivate your most reluctant writers in secondary schools. The organization by categories allows a teacher to expand a theme or essential question. These four categories invite student writers to find their voices and let their ideas fly:Seeing Inward,Leaning Outward,Beyond Self, andLooking Back. This is a "must have" resource for your secondary classroom!

Amazing resource for any teacher!! Excellent writing tool for support in teaching writing☺

This is just what your writers need. Get their ideas flowing and their craft practice moving along. So, so good.Easy to use. Read the material in the front of the book explaining how the authors used quickwrites.

Love it
